ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mai is an illustrator with over six years of experience in children’s publishing, collaborating with publishers both in Vietnam and internationally. At the heart of her work is a profound passion for cultural diversity and the art of visual storytelling. She strives to celebrate the beauty of indigenous cultures and ethnic heritage, bringing local traditions to life through warm, emotionally resonant imagery that connects young readers to their roots, and to the world.
Beyond cultural narratives, Mai is dedicated to inclusive representation, ensuring every child can see themselves reflected in the stories they read. This commitment extends to her work in non-fiction, where she uses illustration as a bridge to spark curiosity about the natural world and nurture a love for discovery.
Currently, Mai is expanding her portfolio into chapter books for older readers, aiming to create compelling visuals that cultivate healthy reading habits and inspire a lifelong appreciation for diverse perspectives.
